Bloody hell. Ours (not that I'm a biker) have to be Euro certified or British Standards certified, if they aren't they get pulled from sale. Trading Standards are usually hot on this sort of thing.

I don’t pay extra for the Snell , but I do always make sure mine are ECE rated.
